<p>Thomas Burke Hite passed away on March 27, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.&nbsp; </p><p>He was born in Greensboro, NC, to George H. and Nina B. Hite on July 11, 1943.&nbsp; </p><p>Thomas graduated from Guilford High School in 1961. He spent the majority of his career at Contract Steel Sales and he retired in 2010. He served as Crime Stoppers chairman of the board for numerous years in support of the law enforcement community.&nbsp; He was an avid outdoorsman and was a long-time member of the Cantrell Rod and Gun Club where he was able to hunt with friends, his 3 sons, and grandchildren.&nbsp; </p><p>He is survived by Maxie, his wife of 62 years, his 3 sons Tommy Jr. of Asheville, NC, Jason (Amanda) of Charlotte NC, Craig (Jill) of Alpharetta GA. His grandchildren Emilie, Sara Stuart (Happy), Marshall, Davis, Connor, Vance, Hannah, Emma, Walker, and Maggie. He is also survived by his brother Randy (Linda) of Greensboro, NC. </p><p>Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, George H. and Nina Hite, brothers George E. and David B. Hite, and sister Judy Park. </p><p>At his request, there will be a small private family viewing at Triad Cremation and Funeral Service.&nbsp; The family asks that any donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Guilford County located at 4615 Dundas Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407. The family would also like to express their gratitude to Dr. William Keown, the staff at Moses Cone Hospital, Palliative Care of Greensboro, and Hospice of the Piedmont for their care and dedication.&nbsp; </p>

Thomas Burke Hite passed away on March 27, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. 

He was born in Greensboro, NC, to George H. and Nina B. Hite on July 11, 1943.
