James Lewis "Jim" Castleberry, Sr.

<p>James “Jim” Lewis Castleberry, Sr., 79 of Borger went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. Celebration of life will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 30, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Fritch. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. </p><p>Jim was born on April 13, 1943, in Shamrock, Texas to James and Dorothy (Feland) Castleberry. He served in the U S Army from 1963 to 1965 and the National Guard from 1977 to1982. He married Alphia “Chum“ Munholland, November 12, 1966, in Borger.&nbsp; He worked at the Rock Creek plant for 47 years. Jim became an ordained minister April 10, 1994, at First Baptist Church in Fritch. He loved to go fishing, watching sports on tv, especially gospel music. </p><p>Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, daughter-in-law Marlene Castleberry and son-in-law Erron. </p><p>Surviving are his sons, James Castleberry, Jr. of Borger, Jory Castleberry and wife Victoria of Borger, Nathan Bishop of Lubbock and Alex Wheeler of Killeen, Texas; daughters, Kathy Bradford and husband Travis of Borger, Kristi Forsythe of Amarillo, Kari McCullogh of Borger, Karla Shelton and husband Scott of Borger; brother, Richard Castleberry of Pampa; grandchildren, Breanna, Annie, Tristen, Jevan, Bradden, Gabby, Brandon and Reinn; great-grandchildren Jase, Jacob, Lainey, Clayton, and Mason. </p><p>In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mandy’s Pantry First Baptist Church 207 Ridgeland Fritch, TX 79036. </p>
