<p>Silas Junior Bradford, son of the late Margaret Herron, was born April 3, 1936, in Pontotoc County, Mississippi.</p><p>He was baptized at an early age and united with Mount Nebo Baptist Church. In 1963, Silas was united in matrimony to Lola Wayne Robbins. Two children were born to this union. In October 1982, he united in matrimony to Betty B. Boyd and one child was born to this union.</p><p>Silas was employed as a custodian at Futorian Furniture Factory for several years. He later gained employment as a carpenter for Grantham Construction Company and retired after several years of service.</p><p>In his spare time, Silas enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, playing cards and checkers.</p><p>On Sunday, March 26, 2023, Silas passed away at his home. He will missed and cherished forever by his wife of nearly 40 years, Betty B. Bradford of Abbeville, MS; children, Marie Hester (Stevie Joe) of Algoma, MS, Zandra R. Ales (Corie, Sr.) of Oxford, MS, and Silas James Ray of New Albany, MS; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; brother, Mose Marshall (Shirley) of Houlka, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.</p><p>Silas was preceded in death by his mother; stepdaughters, Beverly Boyd and Carolyn Johnson; two grandsons, Kenneth Wayne Bradford and Charles Redmond; and six siblings.</p>
