Ollie “Laverne” Michael, age 92, resident of Novi, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023, in Novi. She was born July 18, 1930, in Tennessee, the daughter of Ollie Betram and Ollie Belah (Perry) Bennett. Beloved mother of Susan McFarland and David Michael. Grandmother of Michael McFarland. She is preceded in death by her husband James Michael, Jr, and daughter-in-law Bonnie Michael. Laverne retired from General Motors. She enjoyed knitting, loved animals, and enjoyed spending time with her family. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 until the time of the services, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald’s Chapel of Howell. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Friends of Livingston County Animal Shelter.
