Cynthia Russello

Cynthia Ann Russello, 73, of Staten Island, New York, passed away on March 25, 2023 in her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2819 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, New York 10306.

Funeral services will be held at 10:15 a.m., on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the Church of St. Charles, 644 Clawson Street, Staten Island, New York 10306. Cynthia’s remains will be interred to Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.

Cynthia was born in Brooklyn, New York to Edward and Venida Hyjek, on November 29, 1949. She attended elementary school at P.S. 229, Dyker Heights Junior High School and Lafayette High School. She married her childhood sweetheart, Joseph Russello on May 24, 1969, at St. Frances Cabrini Roman Catholic Church, in Brooklyn, New York. She worked as a legal secretary for Cahill Gordon & Reindel for many years.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Joseph Russello; her daughter and son- in-law, Sandra and Alexander Immella; her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Christine Russello; her sister, Christine Bini; her five grandchildren, Alex, Danielle, Jason, James and Michael, and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Donations may be made in Cynthia’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or The American Cancer Society.
