Edward C. “Charlie” Hockenbury, 84, of Moshannon, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, March 24, 2023. Born on January 27, 1939, in Moshannon, he was the son of the late Frank and Sophie (Repasky) Hockenbury.

Charlie attended the Bald Eagle Area High School. He was of the Christian faith. He was a truck driver for Roadway Trucking for many years before retiring in 2004.

Charlie was a simple man. He loved the outdoor and was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting.

Charlie is survived by his three daughters: Cheri L. Matincheck of Mt. Joy; Kendra S. Seprish of Pleasant Gap, and Koreen K. Charnick and her husband, Francis, of Clarence, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by a brother, Donald Hockenbury of Moshannon, a half-brother, Richard Repasky of Moshannon, and some special friends, Robert Livergood, Larry Livergood and his wife, MaryJo, all of Moshannon.

Along with his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by three brothers.

In following Charlie’s wishes, there will be no service.
