<p>Imogene “Jean” Evans, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away March 19th, 2023.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born in Mayo, FL, on August 15th, 1933. Jean received an associate degree in science from Florida State College at Jacksonville. Jean had a career in nursing for 40 years. She was a member of Cedar Hills Baptist Church and had a passion for serving others.</p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years George Evans, parents Nettie and Samuel, daughter Margaret, twin sons William and Lafayette, great grandson Samuel, and brother Kenneth Hunt.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughter Teresa (Steve), grandchildren Michelle (Matt), Kelly (Adam), Leesa (John), Alexis (Alan), Matthew (Cris), 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and brother Joe Powers.</p><p><br></p><p>To celebrate Jean’s life there will be a visitation Thursday March 23rd, 2023 from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM, then a funeral service Friday March 24th, 2023 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers please make donations in Jean’s name to Sliver Treasures at Lane Ave. 1169 Lane Ave S, Jacksonville, FL 32210. www.silvertreasuresatlane.com</p><p><br></p>Obituary
