Elbert Oral Lawson, 96, of Muskogee, OK passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in Muskogee. He was born in Vivian, OK on June 15, 1926, the son of Charlie Lawson and Fida Lawson (Pollard). Elbert attended Vann School in the Porum, OK area. On August 2, 1952, he married Alice Darlene Phillips in Van Buren AR. Elbert was employed as a Truck Driver with Domestic Linen of Wichita, KS for 11 years and Advance / Superior Linen of Muskogee for 28 years before his retirement in 1993. He enjoyed rabbit and deer hunting.

Elbert is survived by his wife Alice Darlene Lawson (Phillips); and several nieces and nephews. Elbert was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Lawson and Fida Lawson (Pollard); siblings: Charlsey Yandell, Pauline Frost, Erma Lee Craig, Preston Lawson, Iva Gene Spradlin and Joyce Dillingham.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday, March 27, 2023 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee with Reverend Larry Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery of Muskogee. Services under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home.
