<p>Frances A. Weigel, 87, Marshfield, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, at her home.</p><p><br></p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, March 27, 2023, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Daniel Thelen officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Sunday at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and from 9:30 am until service time on Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church.</p><p><br></p><p>Frances was born on May 25, 1935, in Milladore, to Elmer and Eleanora (Zvolena) Jadack. She attended a country grade school in Mill Creek and was a 1953 graduate of Auburndale High School. She was united in marriage to Oscar H. Weigel, Jr. on October 10, 1956, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Milladore. He died on July 25, 1986.</p><p><br></p><p>After their marriage the Weigel’s farmed in the Town of McMillan. After the death of her husband, Frances continued to farm with her three sons. In 1997 she moved to the city of Marshfield after her youngest son took over the farm. She continued to go to the farm each day for chores and to feed the baby calves. She was a member of St. John’s Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Farm Bureau. She enjoyed bowling for 60 years, playing sheepshead with the card club, occasional trips to the casino, her garden, flowers, all family holiday gatherings, her grandchildren’s sports, the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by four daughters and three sons, Darlene (Jim) Marshall, Dawn (Ken) Lenz, Corrine (Vern) Breseman, Connie (Dan) Leonhardt, Patrick (Bev) Weigel, Lee Weigel and Donald (Roxan) Weigel. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters, Marcia (Ron) Doescher and Joyce Durrant, a brother-in-law, Eddie Junnemann and sisters-in-law, Lorraine Fleisner and Pat Passer, special friends, Bob Scheuer and Jan Werner, and neighbor and adopted son John Barton and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters Paula Wallner and Shirley Juneman and a step granddaughter Jolene Nowak.</p><p><br></p><p>The family wishes to give special thanks to Marshfield paramedics, officer Larson and coroner Josh Kroening.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will designate a memorial at a later date.</p><p><br></p>

Frances A. Weigel, 87, Marshfield, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023, at her home.
