<p>Gary Michael Sitner, 81, of Howell, Michigan, passed away on March 21, 2023 while being cared for at home by his loving wife of 30 years, Susan. Gary was born on January 10, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Adolph Ewald Sitner and Alice Elizabeth Fitzgerald. After graduating from Redford High School Gary joined the Detroit Police force. In 1967 he moved to the Livonia Police Department, where he retired with the distinguished title of Captain in 1997. Gary was also a loyal member of the Knights of Columbus and held his faith highly.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sister, Alice (Richard), His dear children, Dianne (Dale), Donna, Jeffrey (Hilary), Mechelle, and Kristine (Robert). Loved grandfather of Daniel, Scott, Sean, Brittany, Nicholas, Jack, Joseph, Lucy, Seneca, Diezel, Gibson, Oliver, Emerson, and Gabriel.&nbsp;</p><p>Gary was also a proud great-grandfather of Carter and Xander.</p><p><br></p><p>Gary’s family will receive friends on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 3-7 PM at the Watkins Brother’s Funeral Home, MacDonald’s Chapel located at 315 N. Michigan Avenue, Howell, Michigan 48843 with a rosary at 6:00 PM.</p><p><br></p><p>In State Saturday 10:00 AM until time of funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 440 E. Washington Street, Howell, Michigan 48843. Interment will take place at Mount Olivet, Howell, Michigan.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
