Rosaline Mae Cann Obituary

Cann, Rosaline Mae - 88, passed away peacefully at Nakile Home for Special Care in Argyle NS, on the morning of March 17th, 2023. Rosaline was a loving wife, mother, sister, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She was born on August 2nd, 1934 and was the only living daughter of Wardlow (Edgar) Fevens of Overton and Glendora Mae (Nickerson), both deceased.


Rosaline was predeceased by husbands George Malcolm Cann and William Arthur Taylor, son Gary William Taylor, and grandson Sgt. Kirk Garret Taylor. She was the recipient of the Silver Cross from 84th Independent Field Battery and wore the cross proudly in memory of her grandson, Kirk.


She is survived by four brothers George Fevens, Gordon Fevens (Pauline), Hugh Fevens, and Paul Fevens (Yanick) and their families including 3 generations of nephews and nieces, her daughter-in-law Tina (Taylor) Smith, stepchildren Dianna Cann, Bonnie Cann, Kevin Cann (Wanda), Deborah Cann (Mike), Chrystal Cann (Eric), Robert Cann (Sherry), grandchildren Stephanie, Jim, Michael, Christopher, Joel, Amy, Jenna, Brendan, Kristen, Darren, Damyan and Tyler, great-grandchildren Riley, Wrenn, Chloe R., Chloe C., Jemma, Blakely, Serenity, Brooklyn, Hunter, Kash, Owen, Spencer.


Rosaline nurtured her extended family. She was a member of the choir at Chegoggin Baptist, South Ohio Baptist, and North End Baptist until her retirement from the Central Supply Room at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. She was also a caregiver for Billy Taylor and her mother in their fragile years.


Rosaline's family would like to express their sincerest appreciation for the love and care shown by the staff and volunteers at Nakile Home for Special Care.


The family requests family flowers only and donations may be made in memory of Rosaline Cann to the Nakile Home for Special Care, Brenton Cemetery Foundation and Chegoggin Baptist Church.


Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 24th at 11 am at Sweeny's Funeral Home, reception to follow.
