Josie Pagie Taylor Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Josie Pagie Taylor on March 18, 2023, at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Yarmouth on June 16, 1999, she was the daughter of Trevor and Joan (Muise) Taylor. Josie had just graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with high honours and making the dean's list. She was so determined that she finished her last exams while in the hospital. Josie had a smile that could light up the room and was always the life of the party. You would know it was her even before seeing her from her one-of-a-kind laugh. An outdoors girl at heart Josie loved fishing, camping, and hitting the trail on her ATV with friends and family alike. Her friends, family and Dog “Louis” were everything to her. Josie also loved watching movies and taking drives together with her boyfriend Zach. Besides her parents Josie is survived by her brother Tyler (Kelsey); boyfriend, Zach Jacquard; aunts Sherry (Scott) Crowell, Darlene (Guy) d’Entremont, and Nancy Buchanan; grandmothers, Sharon Taylor and Margaret (Doug) Aerie; nephew, Carson Taylor; and many great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Ronald Taylor and James Wilfred Muise; aunts, Winnifred Boudreau and Pamela Saulnier; and uncle James Buchanan. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, from 7-9 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 2 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Moore officiating. A reception will follow at the Yarmouth Lions Club, all are welcome. Cremation will then take place as per Josie’s wishes. Donations in memory may be made to the friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund. The family would like to thank the staff on the eighth floor at the Victoria General for their kind and compassionate care.
