<p>Emma “Jean” Mann Bass, a resident of Wetumpka, AL, was born December 4, 1941 and passed away at her home on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at age 81. </p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Balm of Gilead Church, with Rev. Kenny Hill and Rev. Tex Grier officiating. Burial will follow in Balm Cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 21, from 5-7 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>Jean was preceded in death by her husband, George David Bass, her parents, Elmer C. Mann and Alice Geneva Mann, and a sister, Annie Mae (Lyvoid) Futral, and brother-in-law Junior Edwards. She is survived by her children, Tammie Bass Baker (David), and Thomas David Bass; grandchildren, Tyler Baker and Hayden Bass, and a sister Diane Edwards; numerous special nieces, nephews, &amp; cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>Pallbearers will be Mike Mann, Hayden Bass, Tyler Baker, Jeremiah Futral, Josh Futral, and Caleb Futral. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hunter, Kyle, Franklin, Marvis, Leldon, Matt, Daniel, and Jimmy Futral, Kelly LeClair, Janet Mann.</p><p><br></p><p>Jean retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company after 22 years of service, after which, she helped run the Box Office Video stores in Millbrook and Tallassee, and finally ran the office for the family-owned HVAC business. She was passionate about the Elmore County High School Panthers, and all ECHS sports, attending as many events as she was able to. She loved to cook for and support all the various athletic teams for ECHS.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
