Michael Hammond
<p>Mike passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 16, 2023 after battling ongoing and progressive health issues for years. He was born in Cortland, NY on April 28, 1965, the son of Theodore O Hammond Jr. and the late Shannon Hammond. </p><p><br></p><p>Mike was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, hunting , drawing, and spending time with his family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Mike is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda Hammond, his three daughters, Heather (Nate), Micala (Bryant), and Ally, as well as his three grandchildren, Emmett, Elaina, and Liberty. He also leaves behind his siblings, Patti (Mike) Kestner, Laura (James) Pforter, James (Melinda) Hammond, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>Mike is predeceased by his mother, Shannon Glassford Hammond and his brother, Theodore Hammond III.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3725 Fairview Dr, Cortland, NY. Calling hours will be from 11-1, with the funeral service to immediately follow.
