Keith Roger Megonigle
<p>Keith R. Megonigle, 87, of Independence, IA died Thursday, March 16th, 2023 at the home of his daughter in Denver, Iowa. </p><p><br></p><p>Keith was born on November 25, 1935 in Independence, Iowa the son of Samuel and Golda (Hamilton) Megonigle. He was a 1954 graduate of the Jesup High School, Jesup, IA. Keith served in the US Navy from 1955 thru 1959. Upon his discharge he returned to the Independence area and farmed he also worked for the Mental Health Institute in Independence</p><p>until his retirement. He loved to sing while farming and became an accomplished vocalist preforming at many weddings and funerals. </p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by a daughter, Karen (Keith) Martin, Denver, IA, twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, and a sister and brother: Betty Lyons, Independence, IA and William Megonigle of Texas. </p><p><br></p><p>Keith was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Roger Megonigle, two great grandchildren, two sisters: Iona Copenhaver and Mary Jo Schmitz, an d a brother; Jack Megonigle. </p><p><br></p><p>Graveside services will be held at a later date. </p><p><br></p><p>The Reiff Family Center is assisting the Family with arrangements.</p><p><br></p>November 25, 1935 - March 16, 202311/25/193503/16/2023
