<p>MWO Burgess, Leslie (Les) Thomas George, CD, MMM (retired). </p><p>Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. </p><p>Passed away peacefully in his sleep at KGH, Kingston, Ontario on March 15th, 2023, in his 79th year. Born March 16, 1943, in Cardiff South Wales moved to Canada in 1946</p><p>Beloved son of Harry & Nancy Burgess (deceased). Beloved husband of 59 years to Muriel Burgess (August 24, 1963). Son in law to Norman and Muriel Brown (deceased). Loving father to Tracy (Kent) Bartlett, Deborah Burgess (Brad Cassell) and Brian (Denise) Burgess. Loving grandfather of Breanna, Gavin, Kayla, Tristan, Olivia & Carter. Loving brother to Alan Burgess (deceased) (Linda) and Chris Burgess (Margaret). Loving Uncle to Kathleen, Kimberley and Pamela.</p><p>Les served 26 years with 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louse's) & 6 years with the RCD. He served in Petawawa, Cyprus, Golan Heights, Lahr Germany and Gagetown.</p><p>A Celebration of life service will be held March 24, 2023, at Edith Rankin Memorial United Church at 4080 Bath Road, Kingston, Ontario. Visitation at 1 followed by service and reception.</p><p>Donation if wish can be made to Edith Rankin Memorial United Church or charity of your choice. </p><p>The family would like to thank the staff at KGH Kidd Davis 7 for the kindness, care and compassion shown to Les and his family during his stay.</p>Obituary
