MS. MERLENE HUTCHINGS’  favorite Bible verse was one by which she lived:  Galatians 6:7-“Do not be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 
 

She was born April 16, 1949 in Longview TX to the union of the late Mr. Merlin and Mrs. Ruby L. (nee Lister) Hutchings. She enjoyed watching her soap operas and reading her Bible. Ms. Hutchings worked as a greeter at Wal Mart until her health failed. She loved her job, people, and talking about the Lord. 
 

Ms. Hutchings passed away March 16, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Clarence O’Neal Leverette; seven children:   Laffyete, Maulana, Gerald, Selah, Clarence, Etawah, Hakeem, and two step children:  Nicole and Nicholas;  18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and Siblings :  Billie Hutchings, David Bead, Robert Bead, Freddie Bead, Philmound Bead, and Ruby Ann Bead.
