Robert C. Foote Obituary

Torrington- Robert C. Foote, 79, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, at Village Green Nursing Facility, Bristol. He was the beloved husband of the late Marcia J. (Hurll) Foote of Townsend, MA.

                Robert was born in Springfield, MA, on May 2, 1943, son of the late Stuart C. Foote and late Beverly E. (Dana) Foote-Marotte, he was a resident of Massachusetts most of his life before moving in with his daughter in Connecticut in 2017. He was a proud Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant, serving over ten years of foreign service including; at age 23 being stationed in Ubon Thailand during the Vietnam Conflict, the Korean Conflict, Germany, and the Azores.  During his service he was in Explosive Ordinance Disposal and cleared many bombing ranges stateside including; Utah, Arizona, North Dakota, and Alaska, to name a few.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Red Sox, Patriots, NASCAR, and was a lifetime member of the VFW. Robert enjoyed traveling extensively with his late wife Marcia, especially trips to Bermuda. In his younger days, he enjoyed drag racing and flying with his private pilot’s license.

                Survivors include; two daughters, Terry C. Jorgensen of Westfield, MA; Jody L. Neumann and her husband, Scott, of Torrington, CT; and a son, Robert C. Foote, Jr., and his wife, Samantha, of Ogden, UT; a brother, David Foote and his wife, Linda, of Prescott, AZ; and two sisters, Marylee Oleksiw and her husband, Jim, of Rocky Hill, CT; and Norma Morgan and  her husband Mark of Oakham, MA; twelve grandchildren include; Morgan, Grace, Grady, Gracia, and McCauly of Westfield, MA; McKenzie and Griffon of Torrington, CT; Travis, Angela, Star, and Zoie of Ogden, UT; one great grandchild; Pearl of Ogden, UT. Robert was predeceased by a grandson, Garrett.

                Services and private burial will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery, Chester, MA.

Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, is in care of arrangements.
