Irene Marie Howe Obituary

Irene “Rene” Marie Howe 81 of McBain, Michigan, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. Irene was born August 3, 1937 in Milan, Michigan the daughter of Emil Milkey Jr. and Wanda Irene (Bame) Milkey.

Irene had resided in McBain since 2013, moving from Temple, Michigan and previously from Harrison and Saline, Michigan. Rene enjoyed crocheting family keepsake’s, all mind game puzzles, various card games, baking and cooking for her family and occasionally going fishing on a quiet lake or stream. Rene created many holiday memories for her family, with her love and passion of decorating for each holiday.

Surviving Mrs. Howe are her loving daughters; Teresa Ann Hale of Jackson, Michigan, Nettie Howe and Edward Uber of Temple and Jill VanBuskirk and husband Tim of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, six grandchildren; John Watts and wife Tabatha, Lonnie Ray Watts Jr., Sandy Boutire and husband Ryan, Eric Hale and wife Ashley, Daniel VanBuskirk and Wife Bev, and Robyn Lynn VanBuskirk and fiancé Josh Gauthier, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one sister, Karen McCalla and husband Chuck of Brooklyn, Michigan, eight brothers; Emil Milkey and wife Judy of North Carolina and Florida, Roger Milkey and wife Bridgette of Kinross, Michigan, Leroy Milkey and wife Darlene of North Carolina, Mike Milkey and wife Sharon of North Carolina, Steven Milkey and wife Louise of Manchester, Michigan, Tom Milkey and wife Jamie of Saline, Fred Milkey of North Carolina and Carl Milkey and wife Karen Florida, plus many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Howe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John William Howe, one son, Frank John Howe, one son in law, Brian Hale, two sisters; Terry Milkey and Sally Dobson, one brother, Bob Milkey and two great-granddaughters; Aisa and Maddison.
