<p>MONTGOMERY, Clayton age 86 of Mason, Ohio passed peacefully at the Anthology of Mason with his family by his side. &nbsp;Born August 7, 1936 in Salyersville, Kentucky, Clayton was the oldest of ten children born to Kennie and Ressie (nee Back) Montgomery and was a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. &nbsp;Clayton taught in middle school at Kings Local Schools and Mason City Schools for many years. &nbsp;Clayton was also an ordained Baptist minister. &nbsp;During his spare time, Clayton enjoyed playing chess, story telling, reading his bible, attending his church, the great outdoors and nature and most of all spending time with his daughters, his grandchildren and his family. &nbsp;</p><p>Preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Elsie (nee Coomer) Montgomery and brothers Glenn and Adrian Montgomery; Clayton leaves behind his loving daughters Marjorie (Urban Nielsen) Motz and Regina Chambers; brothers Willie (Nellie), Jason (Ruth), Jerry (Joan) and Dallas (Pauline) Montgomery; sisters Mary Lou (Carl) Holbrook, Alice Arnett and Lila Gibbs; grandchildren Amy (Luke) Pater, Alicia (Josh) Wiechert, Matthew (Christie) Motz, Jenny (Nick) Wright, Dylan (Nicole) Chambers and Elizabeth Chambers; eleven great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.</p><p>The family will receive friends Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 11am until time of service at 12pm at the Stine Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Sexton officiating. &nbsp;Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, Ohio.</p>
