Bessie Sharpe Sams
<p>Leicester – Bessie Sharpe Sams, 92, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at her home while surrounded by family.</p><p><br></p><p>Bessie was born in Leicester on June 22, 1930, to Came and Mary Ward Sharpe. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Weaver; son, Ronnie and his wife Donna; daughter-in-law, Mae; brothers: Cecil, Marvin “Ben”, Winfred, and Doug Sharpe; and sister, Margie Sharpe all of Leicester.</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Sams enjoyed working in her garden, canning, mowing her yard, and taking care of her home. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her children: Brenda Ball and husband Luther of Marshall, Howard Sams and wife Bunny of Asheville, Jerry Sams, Kaye Swann and husband Dale, Ricky Sams, Marsha Hargrove and husband Patrick all of Leicester; sisters: Mabel Ball and husband Dennis, and Charlotte Sharpe; brother, Homer Sharpe and wife Diane; sixteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.</p><p><br></p><p>A private graveside service will be held at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Laurie for the special care you gave to our mom.</p><p><br></p><p>Anders-Rice Funeral Home is honored to serve the Sams family.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Obituary
