Donald Arthur Franz

Boonville, IN – Donald Arthur Franz, 79, of Boonville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at his home. He was born on November 26, 1943 in Warrick County, Indiana to the late Leonard J. and Mary A. (McNeely) Franz.

Donald was a graduate of Tennyson High School and a retiree from Alcoa after 33 years of service. As a farmer, he loved spending his time outdoors working and feeding his birds.

He is survived by his sister, Kathy Dorsey; his step-sons, Keith Hunt, Kim Mand (Lisa), Earl Mand (Linda), Eric Mand (Kay) and Bryan Mand (Lori) as well as several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.

Donald is preceded in death by his wives, Velda Franz and Lois Franz; his brothers, Carl William, Leonard Clarence and Louis Frederick Franz; his sisters, Norma Ruth Simpson, Geneva Marie Adams and Mary Alice Hunt as well as his beloved dog, Mya.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Koehler Funeral Home in Boonville, Indiana.

Services will be at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Pr. Eric Franz. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation in Donald’s name.
