Gary L. Hacker
<p>Gary L. Hacker, 71, of Akron, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born in Ephrata to Robert L. Hacker and the late Rosalyn F. (Martin) Rice.</p><p><br></p><p>Gary was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching game shows. He also enjoyed all sports and was a fan of all the Philadelphia teams.</p><p><br></p><p>He worked for General Food, White Plains, NY and prior to his retirement he worked for Turkey Hill. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his father, Gary is survived by step-mom, Susan Hacker; step-dad, Donald Rice; sisters, Kathi, wife of Tommy Niner, Beth Thompson, wife of Jennifer; nephews and niece, Jordan and Alex Southard, Dillon Jean-Luc, Brianna Gallic; partner, Christine Weaver; and his pet dog, Reese.</p><p><br></p><p>Services are private at the convenience of the family.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions in Gary's memory may be made to Lancaster Center for Animal Life-Saving, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Inc., Akron/Ephrata. </p>January 27, 1952 - March 15, 202301/27/195203/15/2023
