Paul Clayton Brown Obituary

On Monday, March 13, Paul Clayton Brown, an incredible husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away at age 78. He was born on June 30, 1944, to Thelma Cleo “Coogie” Coffer and Darl Dean Brown. He had two brothers, Ken and Rusty. He is preceded in death by Thelma, Darl, and Rusty. Paul was a brilliant man, having graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree, with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, and honorably served as a Captain in the United States Air Force, having served from 1969 to 1971. He revolutionized the computer systems of Little Rock, Arkansas, and constantly looked for ways to make improvements to the world. He loved marine biology, photography, music, and causing trouble for the sake of laughter. No matter the time or place, he always made opportunities to share his wide range of knowledge with everyone around him.

Paul was cherished for his sharp wit, sense of humor, and love for his family. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Brown, their daughters, Amy Moore and LeAnn Gilbreath, his brother, Ken Brown, and grandchildren, Jake and Abbie Moore, and Olivia and Millie GIlbreath. Services will be held at Beaufort National Cemetery on Friday, March 24 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please pull a harmless prank and laugh about it loudly with your loved ones, or donate time to a local nursing home and spread joy and humor to the residents.
