Margaret Ann Pollard Obituary

The world has lost a wonderful, kind-hearted mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend in Margaret (Marg) Ann Pollard. She passed away peacefully at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 75 years of age.

Devoted wife of George Pollard, Loving mom to George Jr., Karl (Stacey), Lisa Passfield (late David), Timothy (Chelsea), and Kevin (Renee). Caring grandmother to Jordan, Lexi, William, Noah, Chloe, Owen, Caleb, Hannah, Isaac and great grandmother to Tyler. Her children and grandchildren were her most prized possessions.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Henry and Bertha Allison, siblings Lloyd (Joe), Ralph (Den), & Barb. Survived by her oldest sibling Dora.

Marg was born January 13, 1948 in Alliston, ON. She married George Pollard on January 21, 1966. They went on to have 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Mom had such a great love for children starting at a young age. As a teenager she would often babysit children in the village. While raising her children, she looked after other children so that she could be a stay-at-home mom. She cherished any time she could spend with her family. She loved poetry, and wrote many original poems.

Mom will be sadly missed but fondly remembered for her kindness, generosity and infectious laugh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Matthews House Hospice in Alliston. Special thanks to the kind nurses and staff of Matthews House Hospice that took such loving care of mom in her final days.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Drury Funeral Centre, 519 Victoria Street East, Alliston, ON. Refreshments will follow
