Mrs. Elaine “Granny” Morgan Brown, age 77, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Friday evening, March 17, 2023 at her residence.  She was born in Marshall County, TN and was a daughter of the late Leonard Ashael Morgan and Mildred Nadene Cromer Morgan.  Mrs. Elaine was a homemaker and a member of 64 years at the Chapel Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church but later attended Rover Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years and high school sweetheart, Thomas “Tom” Edward Brown, Sr., son, Thomas “Tommy” Edward Brown, Jr., brother, Rev. Leonard Wayne Morgan, and a sister, Kathy Jean Morgan.

Mrs. Elaine absolutely loved her family and all the children.  She enjoyed road trips visiting places, babysitting for many children in the area, and watching western Movies, especially Gun Smoke!  

Mrs. Brown is survived by her children, Melinda Gail Brown Galvan Randolph of Chapel Hill, TN, Bonnie Lynn Brown Davis Spain (Greg) of Chapel Hill, TN, Gina Marie Brown Gillum Heintz (Jamie) of Unionville, TN; 7 grandchildren, Zachary Thomas Brown, Amanda Dawn Brown Jett, Kasey Lynn Davis Pullen, Tyler Wayne Davis, Kenlea Maria Gillum, Savannah Danielle Galvan, Levi Thomas Gillum; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Peggy Jo Morgan Hillard of Chapel Hill, TN.

Visitation with the family will be on Sunday, March 19, 2023 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, March 20, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Bullington officiating.  Interment will follow at Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County, TN.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
