<p>Dr. George Robert Tanner, age 100, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Friday, March 17, 2023 at his residence. Born in Florence, Kentucky on July 31, 1922 to the late Robert and Georgia Yealey Tanner. </p><p>Dr. George Robert Tanner was a Pathologist at St. Luke Hospital in Fort Thomas, Kentucky and later worked at Harrison Memorial Hospital. Dr. Tanner served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Cynthiana Christian Church and enjoyed bible study. Additionally, he was a member of the Cynthiana Rotary Club and was a Mason. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives; Sammy Tanner, and Elizabeth Tanner and a son, Dr. George Robert Tanner Jr. </p><p> He is survived by a daughter, Sherry Lynn (Bob) Greene; two stepsons, Jim (Linda) Latimer and Burney Latimer; grandchildren, Brian (Chrissy) Greene and Jason (Sarah) Greene; step grandchildren, Jonathan Latimer, Jennifer (Josh) Whiteman and Jeremy Latimer; great grandchildren, Collin Greene, Sam Greene, Tyler Greene and Dylan Greene; and step great grandchildren, Madeline Whiteman, Avery Whiteman, Penelope Latimer and Adeline Latimer. </p><p>Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Ware Funeral Home by Dr. Larry Bishop with a visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in the Florence Cemetery at 4 P.M.
