Barbara Elaine Cathey Damons, 76, of Finley, Tennessee, died on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at her residence in Finley, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, November 19, 1946 in Dyersburg, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Cathey, Jr. and the late Lorene Kirk Cathey. Mrs. Damons was a retired employee of Homewood in Bellevue, Tennessee. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God.

Funeral services for Mrs. Damons will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Pastor Chad Balentine. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM  to 12:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Stacey Gregory (Trish) of Grovertown, Indiana; one brother, Randy Cathey of Finley, Tennessee; two sister-in-laws, JoAnn Cathey of Friendship, Tennessee and Mary Cathey of Rochester, Kentucky and she was "Granny" to her three grandchildren, Elaine, Abigail and Isabella Gregory and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Emmie and Coraline Thompson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Damons and two brothers, Gene Cathey and Roger Cathey.

Honoring Mrs. Damons as pallbearers will be Mike Kirk, Chad Cathey, Brent Cathey, Tony Billegas, Jerry Crosno and Paul Alexander.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that contributions be directed toward the funeral services of Mrs. Damons at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
