<p>Celeste Sama, born in Brooklyn, NY, passed away Friday March 17, 2023. She was the daughter of immigrant parents from Italy, 6th of 7 children, her father a WWI front line survivor. She later moved to Mount Pleasant with her beloved husband and Veteran Sam (Saverio) Sama to begin the next journey of her life where they started a family. She leaves behind her beloved Children Anthony Sama, Catherine Sama, Ann Sama (Stagnari), Paul Sama, Lisa Sama (Ward) and her most loved grandchildren, Nicholas Urso, Richard and Christopher Sama, Kristie and Michael Sama, Andrew and Ashley Stagnari, Christopher and Mia Celeste Ward, Son-in-laws Andrew Stagnari, and Chris Ward. She was "like a Mother" to so many more.<br> <br> Deep in faith, Celeste did God's work for most of her life. She shared her spirituality with others while serving as a Religious Education Teacher for 30 years at Holy Rosary Parish. She was one of the kindest, nurturing, loving, human beings to ever walk the earth. A very special lady, all who knew her felt the sincerity, positivity and love in her words. She lived as a soldier of the Lord, sharing words of kindness and support with others, giving to multiple charities, delivering communion to the sick, and so much more. She will be sorely missed.<br> <br> In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rosary Hill Home Hawthorne, NY. </p>
