Paula Jean Weaver Obituary

On the evening of Friday, March 17, 2023 our beloved mother, daughter, and sister, Paula Weaver was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ at Bon Secours - Southside Medical Center in Petersburg, Virginia.


Paula Weaver, 59, was born on November 1, 1963 to Mary L. Hill and the late James A. Hill in Richmond, VA.


She graduated from Petersburg High School, Petersburg, VA, Class of 1982. Shortly after graduating, she attended a Training School in Charlotte, NC.


Paula was employed with Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, VA (formerly Petersburg General Hospital)

for 25 years before her health declined in 2012.


She was a member of Royal Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Phillip E. Williams.


Paula's legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was strong, fierce and a very independent woman. She loved the Dallas Cowboys and her Mountain Dews.


Along with her father, James Hill, she was preceded in death by, her grandmother, Lucy Mitchell; uncle, Nathaniel Mitchell and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hill.


Left to treasure her loving memories are: her loving and devoted daughters, Dachelle Hill and Rochelle Hill; two grandchildren, Amari'yana Stiles and Messiah Stiles (who loved her so much); mother, Mary L. Hill; two sisters, Angela Hill and Jennifer Hill; two brothers, Ricky Hill (Carrie deceased) and Christopher Hill; seven nieces and nephews, devoted, Jovan Hill and Tony Tucker; a host of great-nieces (devoted. Jakiha Hil); aunt, Eunice Hill; devoted uncle, James E. Davis (Sandra); devoted and loving goddaughter, Arleta Tucker and her children; a host of cousins, (devoted, Leon Batts and Earl Hill); devoted best friends, (the father of her daughters), Douglas Weaver, Darlene Granderson, Diane Hawkins, Belinda Baugh and Rai Boone, along with a host of other relatives and friends.


A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Tucker Celebration of Life Chapel, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg, VA. Pastor Belinda Baugh, New Divine Worship Center, Petersburg, VA will be the eulogist. Public viewing will be Friday, March 24, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
