HAROLD JACKSON OBITUARY

Mr. Harold W. "Tuffy" Jackson entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 10, 2023. He will be cherished and missed by his wife of 64 years, Andree Taylor Jackson; children, Kevin Jackson, Sr., Brian A. Jackson (Melanie) and Helene Derbigny (Kevin). Harold was a doting grandfather to Kevin Jackson, Jr. (Jennifer), Lauren Derbigny, Maria Jackson (Thomas), Kevin Derbigny, Jr. (Darilyn), Blaine Derbigny and great-grandchildren, Riley, Kevin, III, Abigail, and Ava. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Jackson and Lillian Harvey Jackson, as well as four brothers and three sisters. He enjoyed a 42 year career in the United States Postal Service and served as the Postmaster of Gretna, LA at the time of his retirement. He was also an avid Saints fan, a member of the United Postmasters and Managers of America and The Mustangs Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life and legacy of the late Mr. Harold W. "Tuffy" Jackson will be held at the St. Katharine Drexel Chapel on the campus of Xavier University of Louisiana, 3932 Pine Street, New Orleans, LA 70125 on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10:30 am. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation 9 am in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Blinded Veterans Association (www.bva.org).
