<p>Mary Eileen Morrissey was born Dec.24th 1931 a Christmas present to David O’Brien and wife Marian (Gokey). </p><p>Mary lived in the Bronx (in a Walk-up Brownstone: 5 boys and 5 flights of stairs), in Monroe NY and in the retirement years in Murrells Inlet, SC with her husband John.&nbsp; In the later years she split time with her sons David in NY and Brian in NJ and SC.&nbsp; </p><p>Growing up in the Bronx was much different then compared to today.&nbsp; Vegetable gardens, stick ball, stoop ball and tag in the woods.&nbsp; Mom always claimed to be quite the tom boy growing up.&nbsp; </p><p>Mary and John (Dad) went to the same grammar school but did not know each other well.&nbsp; However after John returned from the service Mary fell in love with John and they were married in 1952.&nbsp; </p><p>Mary was a devoted wife to John and proud mother of 5 boys.&nbsp; She was a bank teller for many years in NYC and Monroe and a museum worker, school bus driver, and ambulance driver.&nbsp; One busy woman.&nbsp; </p><p>Mary is predeceased by her husband of 53 years John J Morrissey and her siblings Anne Vincenzo (husband Phil) l and Edward O’Brien (wife Eileen) and her sons Kevin, Daniel and William.&nbsp;&nbsp; She is survived by her sons Brian (wife Judi), David plus her daughters-in-law:&nbsp; Jennifer Morrissey and Judy Marinozzi. Mary is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. </p><p>Those wishing to show appreciation of Mary can make donations to American Heart Association.&nbsp; </p><p>A memorial service will be held April 4th, 2023, from 5 PM to 8 PM with funeral Mass at St. Augustine in Highland NY at 10:00 AM the 5th followed by burial at Brick Church Cemetery in Spring Valley NY. </p><p>Services are at: </p><p>Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home </p><p>38 Main Street </p><p>Highland, NY 12528 </p><p>845 691 2281 </p><p>www.TorsoneMemorial.com </p>
