Betty Jean Tinch, age 93 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Signature Health Care of Putnam County.

Born Tuesday, November 12, 1929, in Granville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel and Amanda (Minnear) Burton.

Betty was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of Willow Avenue Church of Christ, and worked several years for Russell Stover Candy Company in Cookeville, TN. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and playing rummy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband: LB Tinch, 2 Sons: Bobby and Johnny Tinch, 2 Sisters: Ellen Benward, Pauline Kirby, 3 Brothers: Jeff, Paul and Ralph Burton, 1 Grandson: Sean Tinch, and Grandson-in-law, Bryan Colson.

Graveside Services for Betty will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, beginning at 10:30 am at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, with Bro. Clarence DeLoach officiating.
