Virginia “Gigi” Gilbert (nee Schoellner), 91, of Beachwood, NJ, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 surrounded by love.

Born in Keyport, NJ, she lived in South Orange before moving to Beachwood 22 years ago.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard H. Gilbert, in 2016.

Gigi is survived by her children Nan Owen, Jane Pimentel, and Sally Dunn Huebner , Jeff Clarke, Robert Gilbert and his wife Crisana, Robert Huebner, William Gilbert and his wife Lydia, Grandchildren Mollie, Zachary, Andrew, Emily, Bobby, Justin, Nicholas ,Logan, Isabel and Miranda, and three great grandchildren, Jake, Aidan and Jeremy. Also survived by her devoted Care Givers and many beloved family and friends.

Gigi graduated from Western Maryland College. With an artist’s soul , Gi Gi’s career included award winning painting and jewelry design, antique appraisal and modeling. Gigi was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  As a descendent of Thomas Luker,  namesake of Toms River, Gi Gi loved the jersey shore, crabbing, and skee-ball! Countless family memories were made at Grandma Gigi’s and Pop Pop’s in Beachwood.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 18, 2023 3:00pm – 6:00pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River.
