<p>Helen F. Beford, 93 of Falmouth passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15th at Falmouth Hospital and is now reunited with her sweetheart Lenny.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born and raised in Maynard, MA. The daughter of Antoni and Mary Arcisz, who were both Polish immigrants. She was extremely proud of her Polish heritage. Helen was the wife of the late Leonard F. Beford. Their love story began in the 7th grade when the boy in the reindeer sweater caught her eye and the rest is history. From that day forward he lovingly referred to Helen as his "Polish Princess”. Although they were married for 66 years, she would often remind him "it's not a sure thing".</p><p><br></p><p>Helen was a graduate of Maynard High School, Fisher Junior College and worked in the interior design industry in Boston.</p><p><br></p><p>Helen and Lenny successfully transformed many local businesses including the Maravista Motel, the Falmouth Inn and the Falmouth Country Club. When work was done you could find them on the golf course, enjoying their boat, out for a motorcycle ride or a quick flight in Lenny’s plane. They also could be found at Foxwoods, their home in Florida or traveling. They were longtime members of the Woods Hole Golf Club.</p><p><br></p><p>Helen had impeccable taste and style and was always fashion forward. She was up on current events, the stock market and completed the daily crossword puzzle in record time. Snippets of life lessons were Helen's specialty and you could always find her enjoying a glass of her favorite Barefoot Pinot Grigio while watching the Patriots. She was an extremely savvy, wise and successful businesswoman, but above all else, she was a devoted wife to Lenny and mother to Lenny Jr. and Melissa. She was the absolute best “Gigi” to her 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Helen leaves her children, Leonard F. Beford Jr., his partner Vira of West Tisbury and Long Island and Melissa M. Beford of Falmouth; 5 grandchildren: Meghan &amp; her husband Charles Kelly, Leonard "Trip" Beford III and his wife Hannah, Lauren Beford, Whitney and her husband Christopher Wood, and Bailey Burke. She also leaves 4 great grandchildren, and her "adopted" children David and Jackie Nolan.</p><p><br></p><p>She is predeceased by her loving husband Leonard, her parents, sister Josephine and brothers Bruno, Joseph, and John.</p><p><br></p><p>Helen’s family wishes to thank the ICU nurses at the Falmouth Hospital for the tender and loving care she received.</p><p></p><p>A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, March 27th at St. Patrick Church, 511 Main Street, Falmouth.
