Alvin Sidney Johnson, Jr departed this life in St. Augustine, FL in the morning on the 15th of March 2023.

Alvin was born on May 8th, 1965 in New York City. He graduated from the public schools of New York and New Jersey. He attended Winston Salem State University.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Alvin retired from the Verizon Corporation. He then started his own owner operator transport company, Big Oz Transporting. The name Oz comes from his time as the Sergeant at Arms for the NJ chapter of TR Motorcycle Club. He was an avid motorcycle rider.

Alvin was born to Alvin Sidney Johnson, Sr and Vivian Patrick Johnson, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was an uncle, William Gillespie.

He leaves to mourn him, his daughter, Ja’Nya; father, Alvin Sidney Johnson Sr. and stepmother Vera Doe Johnson. He also leaves three sisters: Joycelyn Johnson, Marchette Johnson, and Chrystal Johnson. In addition, two nieces: Sydney Wilson and Jasmine Foster; and a nephew, Channing Johnson, are left to mourn him as well. There are numerous cousins and close friends left behind.
