Richard F. Marcellin, Sr.

Olean- Richard (Dick) F. Marcellin, Sr., of Olean, passed away Wednesday (March 15, 2023) peacefully at home.

Born July 17, 1939, in Olean he was the son of the late Marcel and Cecelia Favro Marcellin. On September 1, 1962, in Olean, he married the former Josephine A. Fusiara, who survives.

Mr. Marcellin attended Olean High School and was employed by Dresser Clark for 36 years, retiring in 2001. He was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan, a member of the former Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church in Olean, and a life member of the St. Stephen’s and Pulaski Clubs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by; three sons, Richard (Ann) Marcellin of Corning, Greg (Debbie) Marcellin of Olean, and Mark (Monica) Marcellin of Plano, TX; one daughter, Teresa (Jim) Perkins of Bolivar; a sister Irene Colomaio of Olean; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Marcellin was predeceased by; three brothers, Louis, James, and Alfred.

Family and friends will be received at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean on Saturday (March 18, 2023) from 10 am until noon. A funeral service will begin at noon in the funeral home. Rev. Michael Reyes, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
