Robert Motley

<p>Robert Motley 75, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday March 14, 2023 at Washington County Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. </p><p>He was born February 18, 1948 to James Motley and Violet ( Lancaster ) Motley in Big Springs, Texas. </p><p>Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved his church and so many times during the last three years of his illness he would say, I’m going to walk through those doors of my church. He was a faithful member of Crystal Hills Family Fellowship Church. </p><p>Robert married his childhood sweetheart Lana Webster and shortly after joined the military. He and his family traveled through many countries and many states during his 20 year career&nbsp; He was wounded in a helicopter crash in Vietnam but that did not stop him from continuing to serve his country as a helicopter mechanic. </p><p>After leaving the military he continued to enjoy mechanic work , he worked on cars and was in the process of restoring a ford mustang. </p><p>Robert loved people and was very generous, he would do anything in his power to help someone. </p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife Lana Webster. </p><p>Survivors include his wife Sharon of the home, two daughters Deidre Dunham and husband John of Cedar Creek, Texas ,&nbsp; Amie Simmons of Grapevine, Texas , stepson Carlin Stewart and wife Ashley of Fayetteville, three grandchildren Brandon Dunham of Smithville, Texas, Mark Tunnecliffe and Kristen Tunnecliffe both of Fort Worth, three great grandchildren Tolliver and Jasper Dunham of Smithville, Texas and Sean Lollis of Fort Worth, sisters Ruth Ann and husband Bob of Midland, Texas and Barbara Wells of Houston, three step grandchildren Cody and Autumn Stewart and Adalynn Wyatt all of Fayetteville&nbsp; Also survived by his loyal dog, Charlie dog who loves him with all his heart. </p><p>Visitation will be 5-7 PM , Thursday March 23, 2023 at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship Church. A&nbsp; funeral service will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Crystal Hills Family Fellowship Church with Pastors Jasper Hankins, Bill Moody and Juan Hattabaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery with full military honors. </p><p>Pallbearers are Cody Stewart, Tommy Wilson, Bill Cofelt, Larry Tuck, Carlin Stewart, Mark Tunnecliffe and Isreal Huaracha and honorary pallbearers will be John Dunham, Doug Johnson , Chuck Zieammerman and Dustin Tuck. </p><p>Services are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville. </p>
