<p>Ida Florence Byrd Giles, age 95, of Rogersville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 surrounded by those who loved her most.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 69 years, Otto Giles. </p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughter, Judy Chamberlain, her granddaughter and husband, Amanda and Tom Pate, and her grandson and wife, Adam and Rachel Chamberlain. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren: Christian Chamberlain, Madison Chamberlain, Abigail Chamberlain, Eden Chamberlain, Thomas Chamberlain, Anna Chamberlain, and Legend Pate as well as a great, great grandson, Avery Chamberlain; several nieces and nephew.</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Giles was a devoted Christian who walked and lived in faith and spent many years as a pastor's wife dedicated to her many church families. She lived a wonderful life that was full of giving love to all those who surrounded her. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. </p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to give special thanks to Rachel Chamberlain who provided her with the absolute best care when it was needed most. </p><p><br></p><p>Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am March 17, 2023 in Highland Cemetery officiated by Rick Dinkins. Pallbearers will be Tom Pate, Adam Chamberlain, Merle Chamberlain, Joe Allen Trent, G.W. Trent, Christian Chamberlain.</p><p><br></p><p>For those who plan to attend, please meet at Highland Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. on March 17, 2023.</p><p><br></p><p>Online condolences may be sent at www.christiansells.com.</p>

Judy and family, so sad to hear of your mother’s passing. She was so sweet and kind to us. I loved her soft little voice. She was a wonderful neighbor and we will truly miss her. May the Lord bless each of you in the days ahead.
