Josephine Elizabeth Karolzak
<p>Josephine Elizabeth Karolzak, 98, of St. Charles passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Brighton Gardens retirement community. She was born April 25, 1924, in Monroe, Wisconsin, the daughter of Joseph Foster and Estella Margaret (Brost) Pipes. Josephine was united in marriage to Daniel Karolzak on November 26, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI.</p><p><br></p><p>Following retirement, Josephine and her husband spent winters living in St. Pete Beach, Florida, and summers at their lake home in Wisconsin. Josephine enjoyed traveling, photography, and spending time with family.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her loving daughter Kathy (Thomas) Russell; and two grandchildren, Eric (Lindsey Campbell) Russell, and Emily Russell.</p><p><br></p><p>She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Karolzak who died on December 15, 2014.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2900 East Main Street St. Charles, IL. </p><p><br></p><p>Private interment will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL<br></p><p><br></p>April 25, 1924 - March 14, 202304/25/192403/14/2023
