Alan Cullenen age 70 of Millbury (Lake Township), Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, while in the care of Hospice after several years of declining health.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents Berdel and Audrey (Culver) Cullenen, sister Sandra Hill and daughter Andrea Cullenen. He is survived by wife Naomi Cullenen, son Alex Cullenen (Jessica) and granddaughter Briseis Cullenen, as well as brother Arnold Cullenen of Rossford, Ohio.

He lived his early childhood years in Oregon, Ohio and attended Olney Elementary School before his family relocated to Rossford, Ohio. Alan was a graduate of Rossford High School where he was a member of the basketball team coached by Joe Stalma when they were Class AA state finalists in 1970 and then competed in the regional in 1971. He was employed by Libbey-Owens-Ford (now known as Pilkington) before becoming a commercial driver and logging 1,000,000+ miles, which resulted in a front license plate on his Mack tractor that was illegible. Due to his total addiction to the water, he would not hesitate to drop everything to be on it. And, would drive all day in the hot sun to teach his kids, extended family and friends to water ski, barefoot and knee board. Some of his fondest memories were of spending family vacations at Miley’s Resort in Bellaire, Michigan.
