Kenneth "Stanley" Richard Swiatnicki Obituary

Kenneth “Stanley” Richard Swiatnicki, 69, of Peshtigo, passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2023. He was born April 10, 1953 to the late Richard and Jean (Bohaczek) Swiatnicki. He graduated from Peshtigo High School in June of 1971.


Kenneth served in the Vietnam War as a US Navy Boiler Technician. He served on the USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14 Aircraft Carrier) and on the USS Guadalupe (AO-32-Replenishment Oiler). He assisted in the recovery of Apollo 16, 17 and the Space Lab in the South Pacific Sea. He served from 1971-1975 and ended his Navy career as a Boiler Technician Third Class (BT3)


After an honorable discharge from the US Navy, he worked at Badger Paper Mill from 1975 until his retirement in 2015.


Kenneth was a Packer fan and enjoyed being outdoors and in the woods, cutting wood and hunting deer.


Kenneth was formerly married to Christine (Hartwig) Swiatnicki, the mother of his children. He then married the love of his life, Cyndi Cramer Mech on May 5, 2018. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2020.


Kenneth is survived by, a son, Derrick Swiatnicki and his children Kamberlyn and Sylas; 2 daughters, Rachel Swiatnicki and her daughter, Reese; Rayana (Brett) Sievert and their children Autumn, Addison and Avery; a step-son, Matthew (Nicki) Mech and their son, Clayton; also survived by, a sister Diane (Kevin) King and four brothers, John (Penny), Lawrence “Nick”, Walter (Chris Schreiner) and Richard “Buck”; and ten nieces and nephews.


Along with his parents and his wife, Cyndi, he was preceded in death by a niece, Ashley.


Family will receive relatives and friends Friday, March 17th at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 3:00 pm until time of Memorial service at 6:00 pm with Father John Harper officiating. Military honors to follow.
