Diane A Kalma

Diane, 79, of Sussex, WI died on March 12, 2023.

Diane was born in Milwaukee, WI on June 21, 1943, to August Smerz and Myrtle (nee Wischer) Smerz. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jerald Smerz.

Diane was wife to the late Frank John Kalma and mother to Robert (Cindy), William (Jody) and Max (deceased at birth). She was grandmother to Sarah, Jeffrey, Megan and Molly.

Diane attended Custer High School in Milwaukee followed by UW-Milwaukee. She was a proud homemaker caring for her family, volunteering at her church, regularly working at the election polls and serving as a school board member at Richmond Elementary School.

Diane led a life of simple needs. She cared deeply for her family and friends, especially those on four legs including several guinea pigs. She enjoyed family meals and had a notorious sweet tooth that often had her request "one of each" desserts. She loved to laugh and was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. Diane had a deep faith and is now celebrating that God has called her home to reunite with those that have preceded her.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at The View at Pine Ridge in Oconomowoc, WI and the staff of Brighton Hospice for their heartfelt care of Diane in her final months.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd., Waukesha, WI  53188, at 10 AM, followed by the Funeral Service at 12 PM.

Private entombment at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI.
