Anita Copley Emily
<p>Anita Copley Emily, 84, resident of Golf Course Road, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at her home.</p><p><br></p><p>Born November 16, 1938, in Williamson, WV, she was a daughter of the late Jessie Mae Jones and Lawrence T. Copley. She was a 1956 graduate of Williamson High School and attended Lander College. Mrs. Anita was a substitute teacher for Ninety Six School District.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving are two children Michele Hendrick of Ninety Six and Bruce Emily of Landrum; five nephews; one niece; two grandchildren, Carime Emily of North Charleston, and Arley Seth Hendrick of Greenwood; one adopted grandson, Justin Emily of Goose Creek; two great grandsons, Samuel Fulmer of Greenwood and Jude Burgeson of North Charleston.</p><p><br></p><p>She was predeceased by two sisters, Jean Wilson and Mabel Haskins; and a half-brother, L.T. Copley, Jr.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will have a Celebration of Life drop in from 10 -6 Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Anita’s Home.</p><p><br></p><p>A private burial will be held at Oakbrook Memorial Park.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.</p>November 16, 1938 - March 13, 202311/16/193803/13/2023
