Thomas M. Lyons, of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY entered into eternal rest on March 12, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 58 years old.

The son of the late John Edward Lyons, Sr. and Josephine Catherine (Dzienius) Lyons, Thomas was born on February 17, 1965 in Jamaica, NY.

Thomas was a General Superintendent of Maintenance for the MTA/NYCT in Eastchester, Bronx, NY.

Thomas was, in short, a true superhero; a larger than life presence with a heart of gold. He lived his life with strength and kindness and believed that everyone should be treated as family. He loved all things Disney, and spent many times there laughing and enjoying in the fun. He devoted his life to his faith and family, whom he adored more than anyone else in the world. He will forever be remembered by his great, big “bear hugs”, and will be missed immensely.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife: Lois (Emlaw) Lyons at home; his daughters: Courtney (Lyons) Cichetti and her husband Chris, Sophia Lyons and Danielle Emlaw; his grandchildren: Cecelia, Oliver and Finn; his sisters: Tina Lyons, Josie Petrizzo, Cathee Frangella, Ann Marie Patane, Liz Passaro, Jackie Quick ; and his brothers: Richard, John, Jr., Champy, Phillip, Peter and Christopher Lyons. In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by his brother: Paul.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16th at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, Inc., 337 Hudson Street Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 17th at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, 340 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY.
