Charles Towle Cozier Obituary

Charles Towle Cozier, 87, of South Lyon, passed away on March 12, 2023. He was born on July 20, 1935 to the late John and Mary Cozier in Cleveland, OH.


Charles honorably served our country in the Unites States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1966. Before retiring, he was an Insurance Risk Manger for a number of large oil and gas companies.  He enjoyed boating, skiing, and reading fiction. Charles was an avid sports fan; season ticket holder at the University of Michigan Football, Detroit Lions and Detroit Red Wings. He also served as a board member to the Farmington Hills Community Center. Member of the Bernese Mt. Dog Club of America, St. Andrews Society of Detroit, Yankee Air Museum, First Presbyterian Church of Farmington Hills, MI.  Charles volunteered at the Detroit Zoo butterfly house, Readings for the Blind and the Detroit Society for the Blind.

 

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eileen L. Cozier; Sons, Chuck (Lyn) Cozier, Jr. and Curtis (Jennifer) Cozier; grandson, Tristan E. Cozier.

 

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother Ken Cozier and sister Nancy Whitcomb.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to Yankee Air Museum and or Heart of Michigan Bernese Mountain Dog Rescue.
