Jesse Frank Joiner, Jr. of Cumming, Georgia wen to his heavenly home on Thursday, March 9, 2023 surrounded by his family. Frank suffered a heart attack and passed away due to complications with pneumonia. He was 80 years old.

Frank was born in Sylvania, Georgia and was the oldest of 5 siblings. He grew up in Atlanta and spent most of his adult life in metro Atlanta, except for several years spent living in Park City, Utah. Frank approached life passionately and became an accomplished saxophonist, a well-respected financial advisor, a certified ski instructor and was an active Rotarian. Frank retired in 2009 following a severe stroke. Frank always dreamed big and pursued his dreams with tenacity, including marrying his beautiful wife, Connie in 1976, opening a Wild Wing Café in Atlanta in 1995 and later moving to Park City, Utah to open a new territory for his business and pursue his dream of skiing as much as possible. Frank was known for his kindness, his sense of humor, his ability to make friends in any setting, his strong business sense and above all else, as a family man.

Frank is survived by his wife of 46 years, Connie McKenzie Joiner, his daughters Christy Ruth Joiner, Natasha Joiner Boozer (Britt), Jessica Joiner Strack (Raymond), his grandchildren, Joshua and Jeremy Dispain, Madison and McKenzie Boozer, Everett Strack, and Brody Boozer, his siblings, Jackie Joiner Quinn (Tommy), Lynn Joiner Lusby, Pamela Joiner Nunn (Chris), and William R. Joiner (Kim). Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Frank Joiner, Sr. and Jean Everett Joiner, and grandson, Max Boozer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 1pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia, followed by a service at 2pm and a reception with a BBQ luncheon. Donations may be made in Frank’s memory to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
