<p>Martha Kenny, 94 a lifelong resident of Mansfield Township, NJ passed away, surrounded by her family, on March 11, 2023, at Hackettstown Medical Center. Martha was born on March 4, 1929, in Easton, PA to the late Frederick A. and Martha (Nunn) Wilson. She graduated from Hackettstown High School class of 1947. She was believed to be the last surviving attendee of the Rockport one-room schoolhouse. Martha was a longtime telephone operator for NJ Bell and volunteered for many years with the Telephone Pioneers of America. Martha's loving husband of 42 years Robert Kenny passed away in 2006. Martha was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Washington where she served in the food pantry and Meals on Wheels. Martha was known for her simple wisdom and her legendary apple pies. She cherished time spent with family. Martha is survived by her two daughters, Jane Skiba (James), and Nancy Snyder; two sons, Thomas Kenny (Joyce), Timothy Kenny (Beth); a brother, Frederick W. Wilson; 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Robert, Martha was preceded in death by Clementine Scheideler, Robert's daughter with whom she had a close relationship.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday March 17, 2023, from 5-7 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial Home, 234 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882. There will also be viewing hours from 10-11 AM Saturday March 18, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church of Washington followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Martha's name to the First Presbyterian Church of Washington 40 East Church Street Washington NJ 07882</p>
