Peter J. Cissone of Blue Bell, PA passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the age of 85. He was born on December 1, 1937 in Philadelphia where he grew up in the Germantown section of the city. Pete graduated from North Catholic High School in 1956. He was a hairstylist for over 60 years in the Philadelphia area and owned Hairstyling by Peter J. in Roxborough.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents Luigi and Maggie (Silvestri), his 2 brothers, Ralph (Barbara) and Louis, and his grandson Gabriel Benamar.

Pete is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis (Palladino) of 59 years, his children Peter L.(Catherine), Marc (Susan), Andrew (Shannon), and Maria Benamar (Ramzi), along with his adoring grandchildren Peter L. Jr. (Rosanna), McKenna, Kyle, Nicholas, Gabrielle, Tyler, Sophia, Nora, Ryan, and his great-grandson Noah.

Pete had a passion for cooking and loved entertaining his family and friends! Days spent with the grandkids by the backyard pool, around their oversized Christmas tree, cooking cheesesteaks for thousands at the County Horse Show at St. Helena Church, throwing New Years Eve parties for the neighborhood, or setting off illegal fireworks on the 4th of July; these moments were his happiest times! He and Phyllis enjoyed traveling to islands with their friends and spending countless hours on the beach in Ocean City, NJ with family. Although he was Pete to many, he was known as "Pop Pop" to most and he left an afterglow of smiles to all he knew.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Helena Church in Blue Bell on Monday March 20th at 11 am. Visitation with family and friends will begin at 10 am, followed by Interment at Holy Sepulchre in Cheltenham.
