Floyd Roberson

<p>Floyd Roberson a resident of Monroe, Louisiana, was born February 23, 1957, along with his twin brother, Claude Roberson, Jr., to the late parents of Claude Roberson, Sr., and Edna Hines Roberson-Davis. </p><p>Floyd accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized along with his other seven siblings in Clear Lake, Rhymes, Louisiana, and became members of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Alto, Louisiana, under the leadership of Reverend WL Rankins. The family later moved to Monroe, Louisiana, and joined the Rose of Sharon Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend JB Brown. In 2011, he reunited with the church under the leadership of Reverend AB Davis–Johnson, Sr. Floyd enjoyed life to the fullest. He left no stone unturned. He loved his family and his family loved him. One of his joys during family gatherings was to say the blessings over the meal and to thank God for his Life and the “Family.” </p><p>Floyd departed this life on March 10, 2023, where he was welcomed into his eternal home by his grandparents; parents, Claude Roberson, Sr., and Edna Roberson-Davis; and sister, Wanda Roberson-Archibald. </p><p>Floyd will be missed but his memory will be cherished by: siblings, Maxine Webb of Sacramento, CA, Mary Roberson Turner, Claude Roberson, Jr., Brenda Roberson Johnson, and Debra Roberson, all of Monroe, LA, and Donald Ray Robinson (Brenda) of Columbia, SC; aunts, Rose Mae Carter, Easter Elmore, Earlene Chambliss, all of Monroe, LA and Betty Dillard, of Dermott, AR; uncles, Bobby Hines, of Los Angeles, CA, Charles Hines, Roy Hines, Wiley (Patricia) Roberson, Andrew (Betty) Roberson, and Simmie (Eliza) Hines, all of Monore, LA; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends, along with members of the Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. </p>
